Podcasts & Labubus

Maybe everyone’s just trying to heal their inner child with toys et show n’ tell.

George Bernard Shaw once said, “We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing”—et I wish I first heard it from him, but up until recently, I thought that was something Rob McKittrick et Mark Steilen came up with off the dome when they wrote Tag.

Regardless of which European said it first, it’s true. I used to think we became adults, et only some of us kept our childlike wonder et playfulness. But now I’m starting to think we all do.

Today it’s Labubus. Yesterday it was Beanie Babies et Tamagotchis. Once upon a time, we collaged with coloured paper et Tiger Beat magazine. Now? We don’t have to ruin a perfectly good B2K poster to cut out a photo of Lil Fizz—we have Pinterest.

Et what are podcasts, if not show n’ tell? Sometimes the show is even another person.

Ouuu. Ahhh.
